Dawn

[Dawn, who somehow miraculously managed to avoid most of the craziness of the past week, is just getting home from school for the day. There is a drone deliveryman waiting in front of her house, who approaches once he catches sight of the young trainer coming down the street.]

"Excuse me... is your name Dawn Minamimoto?"

"Er... yeah, that's me."

"Package for you. Sign here, please."

[The young girl blinks, confused at what might be inside, but signs all the same. The deliveryman tips his hat, hands her the small box, and heads off on his merry way. Curious, Dawn opens the package, clearing away the packing material to get a good look at what's inside. Her eyes light up once she gets to the contents, and she excitedly pulls out a small red and white colored ball.]

"Oh my gosh! It's one of my Pokemon! Yes!"

[She twirls around with the ball, holding it out triumphantly and posing.]

"Let's see who's in there! Spotlight!"

[With a bit of a flourish, she tosses the ball out. There is a brief flash of white light, and within mere moments, a small blue and white squirrel is standing there in front of Dawn. It looks around confused for a moment, and then at Dawn. A broad smile spreads across its face, and it excitedly squeals out 'CHUPAAAAAAA!' as blue lightning begins to arc from its fur. A stray bolt hits Dawn, sending electricity coursing through her body and causing her hair to instantly frizz out all over the place. She smiles uneasily through the slight smoke emanating from her body, trying in vain to smoothe her hair back down before leaning down to give her Pokemon a hug.]

"H-hi, Pachirisu... I'm glad to see you too."
